Students, Alumni, Staff and Friends of this great Institution, I welcome you!

This community is born out of a conviction to build a common front where Nigerian Students and the young Nigerians at heart can meet and objectively voice their hearts and help one another in realizing their full potentials. I have come to realize this as part of my contribution towards building our great nation Nigeria and leaving it better than I met it.

When I was growing up, I heard so many stories of how good things were back in the days with Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges. I heard about how facilities were put in place for Students. I heard about how jobs were readily available for graduating Students. I heard about how scholarships and opportunities opened up for Students to continue their educations overseas. I heard so many interesting stories but sadly all those nice experiences hardly hold today. The system appears to be seriously fractured today.

Yes, we cannot change yesterday, but we can do something today that can change tomorrow. We can make decisions today that will change what tomorrow will bring. So, it's important that we share some very vital and inspiring thoughts so that we can together chart our cause in the direction we should be going.

In this forum, we'll be discussing about general campus lifestyle and the challenges that a Nigerian Student faces daily. We'll discuss everyday life in our departments and faculties and help one another in understanding our environment better. We'll offer learning advice, career advice, counseling, job opportunities, internship programme opportunities as well as overseas admissions opportunities. Though we'll try to focus on our campus community, we'll also discuss issues pertaining to Nigeria as a nation how we can make things better than we met them.

I trust that you'll receive motivation, inspiration and the impetus to do the things you should do as we share our thoughts with one another. Let's try to create a sense of liberty and freedom of expression in this community. There is a social responsibility in rebuilding our Institutions and our dear country Nigeria. We have our roles to play as individuals and we must play them.

Through the discussions in this community, we tend to build young Nigerians that will be Governors, Presidents, Senators, Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers, Soldiers, Researchers, Businessmen, etc with a difference! No one else will build Nigeria for us; Nigeria will be built by Nigerians.

There is a place for you in Nigeria. Our Institutions can become what we want them to become! It's our collective responsibility, so, let's do it together.
